CIRCASSIAN BEAUTY

Artist: Ramazan

"Circassian Beauty" is a 11 feet sculpture symbolizing the resilience and liberation journey of Circassian women, indigenous to the North Caucasus region and historically subjected to human trafficking and sex trade. It encapsulates their transformation from victims to empowered individuals, representing various forms of freedom such as social, cultural, psychological, and legal. The sculpture's design reflects the endured suffering but also embodies resilience, hope, and a determination to overcome. Serving as social commentary, the art piece raises awareness about human trafficking in the Caucasus region, with funds from exhibitions dedicated to organizations battling these atrocities. These organizations provide victim support, push for stringent laws, and disrupt economic incentives behind trafficking. "Circassian Beauty" stands as a beacon of hope and resilience for all women subjected to such crimes, reinforcing the ongoing fight for freedom and an end to such practices.
